About Us

We are a small family kennel located in Langley, British Columbia, about 50 km East of Vancouver. GoldenAcres Retrievers is run by Steve & Val Pospolita. Our journey with Golden Retrievers began over 14 years ago. We consider ourselves "hobby" breeders, bringing forth just one or two litters of puppies per year. 

Our dogs hold a special place in our family dynamics. They cozy up on the couch, playfully vie for sleeping spots on Dad's side of the bed, and eagerly accompany us on camping trips. They're our swimming buddies in the family pool and share playful moments with our other animals. Our 3-acre farm houses two llamas, three alpacas, chickens, turkeys, ducks, two inquisitive and nosey peacocks and a bundle of energetic grandkids. 

We take great pride in nurturing healthy, social and aesthetically pleasing dogs. All of the dogs in our breeding program have their appropriate health clearances. From the very beginning, our puppies are raised within the comforting walls of our home, surrounded by the familiar sounds and activities that make up our daily lives. Our Golden Retrievers hold a special place within our households - they're more than just pets; they're cherished family members. 

We've delved into the intricacies of Golden Retriever pedigrees and constantly strive to learn more about the breed. Membership in the Canadian Kennel Club and Golden Retriever Club of British Columbia attests to our commitment. While our dogs primarily showcase their talents in the show ring, numerous puppies also earn other titles, highlighting the versatility of our lineage.
